If you are a vehicle owner and need to change your tires because it is all used up, you’ve got to know that buying tires is not the same as ordering a shirt out of a catalog. There are a lot of things that you have to consider when buying them.

* Know the type of your vehicle. If you know your vehicle well, salespersons are not going to find it hard to choose the right car for you. You will soon be presented with their line of quality tires perfect for your vehicle.

* The number of tires you need. If you are going to change all four tires, then you should have the least of all problems. You can simply buy a set that’s perfect for your vehicle and go. But if you need three, two, or just one tire, then you have to know something important. As much as possible, all your tires must match. Otherwise, you may encounter handling problems while driving. Better check the type of tires you won’t be changing and buy the one that is exactly like it.

* The Tire Size. As a rule of thumb, your car should be able to carry the entire weight of your vehicle and its usual load. Otherwise, it will be overworked and would not be able to respond safely and quickly on certain occasions. Never ever buy undersized tires. Always check the owner’s manual of your vehicle. Determine the size of time that its manufacturer recommends. You can go only as far as a 3% change in diameter.

* The Car’s Driving Conditions. How often do you use the car? Do you normally use it on concrete pavement or for off-road adventures? Is it going to be used on both sunny and rainy weather? These are one of the more important the questions you have to answer when buying tires. Manufacturers of tire add special features and capabilities to their tire to make it work perfect in conditions you mostly use your vehicle for. It is important to tell them about it or at least check out the tire features and find out yourself.

* The Look You Want to Sport It is a known fact that tires add so much to a vehicle’s look. In fact, a lot of manufacturers today are actually spending more time researching on how to add good style and appearance to tires without compromising its performance and abilities. Here is where the tire’s treads becomes a factor.

If you’re finding the right tires for your vehicle, find a Michelin tire dealer near you. Shop their complete line of Michelin tires, including performance, off-road, winter, all-season and more.

At Michelin North America, Inc., they put the focus on research, innovation, and testing to discover A better way forward®. They deliver the highest quality tires for cars, pickups, vans, and SUVs. In turn, their tires deliver miles and miles of efficient service and performance.

There is a lot of misinformation about the general state of the auto warranty business out there. The internet is full of articles that offer all sorts of information. Some of it is correct, some of it is blatant lying, and some of it is uninformed rumor spreading. But there is one big myth out there that needs to be dispelled, and that concerns the extended warranty that you will be offered when you purchase a new car from a dealership.

Of course, we all know that the world of auto sales is a highly competitive one. We won’t insult the hard-working members of that profession by lumping them all together, but sadly, there are some very shady characters out there that ruin the reputations of the rest, and give us our impressions and stereotypes about sleazy car sales people.

It is also no secret that car sales people make the bulk of their commissions on financing. This can mean big money to a sales person, so they will push the options that will be on the brink of what is most useful to the customer, to the furthest edge of what makes them the largest commission.

But where some sales people cross the line, in regards to warranties, is when they propagate the myth that an extended warranty is something that can only be purchased from the dealer, and only at the time you make the initial purchase. This is completely false.

While you can certainly make that purchase, it may not be the wisest. The costs, when bundled into your financing package for the new car, may be considerably more than if you were to shop for the extended warranty independently. A dealer usually works with only one finance company and one warranty provider, so there is no comparison shopping you can do here.

The other downside to buying an extended warranty at the time of purchase is that your extended warranty may kick in right away – so you will be double covered. If your manufacturer offers a three year warranty, and you purchase an additional five year extended warranty, you will be covered for a total of five years, not eight.

So be aware when you go in to make that purchase of a new or used car from a dealership. There is a convenience factor to purchasing the auto warranty at that time, and yes, the costs will be rolled into your financing, so you won’t have to make a large payment. But it could end up costing you, further down the road.

Side cars are one wheeled contraptions with a seat that is attached rigidly to the motorcycle. You can have one attached to a scooter as well and it is not uncommon to see it attached to a scooter like the Vespa in Europe and the Bajaj in India. But basically this equipment is relevant for motorcycles.

Attaching a side car changes the aerodynamics of the bike. It no longer rides like a two wheeled vehicle. The forces that run a motorcycle like the centripetal and centrifugal do not come to play. The drag coefficient also increases. The maneuverability of the bike as a two wheeled vehicle is lost. The bike then rides more like a car, but then it’s not a car. Its feel is different. So in case you have been riding motorcycles without a side car you will have to learn how to ride a bike with one attached to it. This is because the bike now has 3 wheels and cutting corners and moving through traffic will require some expertise.

Side cars for motorcycles have been in existence since the turn of the last century. WJ Graham of England was the first man to get the patent in 1903.The twenties and thirties was the hay day period and a lot many were manufactured. This continued in full force during the war years (39-45) and were popular with the Armed forces. The Germans particularly used the side car with telling effect and mounted a machine gun on it. The motorcyclist rode the bike and the machine gunner looked all around with the machine gun ready to fire. This type of motorcycle with its attachment with a machine gun was one of the main stays of the German army in occupied Europe. It really did terrorize the populace. The Germans attached these innovations to their BMW, Zundapp and other machines. However the war’s end saw the relative demise of this invention. And after the fifties its usage became restricted. Presently a side car is a rarity and only a few enthusiasts buy it.

Though the attached car is getting out of fashion it must be remembered that during the war years the it had a life of its own. German and soviet bikes(The Ural) used a differential gear to improve the ability of the bike to negotiate all types of terrain. Differential gear permits power from the engine to be transmitted to the wheel of the attached car thereby helping the machine move along easily on an uneven road.

The car attached to a bike is usually made of steel and is fixed to the body of the motorcycle. Most cars can be decoupled from the bike or attached in a reasonable short time. The side car provides a seat for one passenger and can come with an optional wind shield. One of the adoptions also allows a side car to be used to carry cargo. Some of them may have also have a soft removable top. But all these contraptions take away the thrill of a motorcycle and that’s the reason this contraption is almost out of fashion these days. Remember once a side car is attached to a bike the dynamics of the bike change and it drives more like a car. Attaching it to the bike also affects the speed which is greatly reduced. Thus the bike becomes unsuitable for cross country rides or intercity drives. Even in cities the usage of the bike becomes restricted in case the streets are crowded or narrow. Of course the stability is greater and chance of the bike falling on the side is almost zero. It could be a good help for older people and persons who cannot afford a car.

In the world of motorcycles, it is generally agreed upon that motorcycles retain a much higher value than even cars. Japanese motors have been great. And do have been Harley Davidson from the USA and Italian brands. But BMW has continued the legacy of quality and class that started with its brand name cars down to its newer offerings-the motorcycles.

Prestige and class as we have mentioned, marks the reason why people go for BMW motorcycles. First of all, the brand has made a name for itself. This means that the class and prestige and is associated with BMW is beyond reproach. Quality is also another element that buyers have come to expect from the BMW models. This is the same with the motorcycle. Because the German car maker has distinguished itself as a top player in the auto world, the same is trusted in the world of motorcycles.

Motorcyclists are very particular about their bikes. That is why when embarking on its production of top-of-the line motorcycles, BMW had this in mind. Technically, there are two types of used BMW motorcycles, the R- series and the K-series. The differences include two cylinders which are horizontally-positioned for the R series and three to four cylinders usually lying side-by-side for the K-series. Innovation on the part of BMW has also produced the F -series which has only only one cylinder and chain. There are further divisions within the R series. One is the fact that it is modern and has a fuel injection system. This is preferred because it translates into ease of repair and cheaper costs.

As we mentioned, the best way to get a used BMW motorcycle is to visit your local dealer or certified used car lot. This is important because you get to choose and feel what you want and even do a test drive. This is advantageous in that people who shop on eBay do not have this luxury.

eBay motors is also another place which has become popular for shopping for used BMW motorcycles. This is because eBay works mostly as an auction and people who are bargain-hunting find that they can choose motorcycles easily and conveniently. One can also bid on the make and model that they want based on their budget. This essentially means that one can get a motorcycle at a price that is much cheaper than at the dealerships.

Before making that decision, it is important to understand the warranty and what value it has for you. An extended automobile warranty will give you protection past the dealership warranty. Aside from many benefits and features, an extended warranty will give you the flexibility and comfort of having your car repaired at the licensed center of your choice.

As with any contract, make sure to read the fine print and know exactly what your extended auto warranty service plan covers before purchasing. You might find there are many items not listed within your warranty. Ask yourself what it is you are looking for in an extended warranty, other than Roadside Assistance, car rentals and emergency towing, because sometimes those are the only perks being offered. The internet can be an important tool in researching auto warranties. Be cautious while reading different websites, but take note of all of the tips on purchasing these extended auto warranties online. Many companies will offer warranties online, just make sure you have found the on that fits your needs.

It’s never a good idea to go with the first company you come across. The best company to go with would be the one that keeps its balances high enough to cover any repair costs that might be accrued in the future. Warranty brokers, insurance groups and your car dealership all offer auto warranties. It might be in your best interest to go with an outside company when purchasing your warranty. If your dealer is offering you an extended car warranty, it’s usually at your expense. This yields an increase in their profits by including the warranty in the financing for your total purchase cost of the vehicle.

If you decide to shop around for different sources that can provide your auto warranty, consider a credit union or Internet sources. Buyers typically can negotiate within one-third of a margin of the auto warranty. Expect to pay less towards an extended warranty if your vehicle is low on mileage and age. Finally, make sure to read the service contracts that are included with the manufacturer’s warranty. On average these will provide coverage for three years or 36,000 miles or whichever is first. If you typically find yourself trading in your car just about every three years, then an extended auto warranty probably wouldn’t make much sense. Within those new years cars experience little to no trouble.

When booking or investigating any options for a car rental, there are lots of things you should keep in mind. Obviously, you want the cheapest rental possible. You can do this by taking advantage of many options that aren’t frequently promoted by rental companies.

It is very important when you pick up a car at a cheap car rental agency to check that tires are in awesome condition and have sufficient tread depth. Rental car service can be used for business car rentals, vacation rental cars and low weekly specials for home use. You could also request extras if you have special needs such as child seating or snow chains. Sometimes you don’t just want your standard SUV, sports sedan or mid-size car. The prices are very competitive and very low-cost. Sometimes you don’t even have to upgrade to get a great car.

Check if there’s a weekly rate that might be cheaper than the daily rates for most automobile rentals. However if you do incidentally get into a car accident with a rental car you should call the rental car company first. Not only could you use it for pick up and drop off on your way, it can be the company car too. That you are also well advised to book the smallest car consistent with your needs and thus get a cheaper rate. However whenever you give extra effort in making a thorough search of what’s available you can come across some really good deals. In fact the legal document you need to drive a rental car in another country is called an international driving permit.

This saves the time and hassle of leaving to the counter. There are many options when renting a cheap car and you should ask all questions before renting. Check whenever any specials are offered that are related to the length of time you will rent the vehicle. Not only cheap, but car rentals have a wonderful reputation for being comfortable as well. It also adds value and enjoyment to your daily activities during your stay when you rent a automobile.

Some of the best auto rental companies in the world can provide you with a great resource for vacation destinations. Some rental car companies may charge a small fee for different pick-up and drop-off locations. There are many different car rental agencies that offer many different models of cars. However if you own a car yourself than the insurance for your car often carries over towards a rental car.

Are you in the market for better auto insurance rates? Or, perhaps you are simply looking for a new auto insurance company? Whatever your reason for shopping around, now is the perfect time to request auto insurance quotes from several companies who are more than eager to earn your patronage. In fact, many companies will compete for your business by way of auto insurance rates.

Your first step to choosing the right auto insurance company is to consider the type of coverage that you need. If you own more than one vehicle, you may find that some auto insurance companies will offer cheap auto insurance rates in exchange for becoming your exclusive provider. In other words, transferring all of your policies to one company may result in discount auto insurance at its best.

The next step in choosing an auto insurance company is to look for one that rewards customers based on a good driving record. One of the keys to a respectable auto insurance company is flexibility when it comes to coverage selection and incentives to promote better and more responsible driving. In addition to comparing auto insurance rates and plans, take the time to review the auto insurance company’s policy on discount auto insurance rates for those with a safe driving record.

It’s important to realize that auto insurance rates vary from one area to the next. Regardless of where you live, however, most will agree that auto insurance is expensive and it’s essential that you compare auto insurance rates to ensure that you are getting what you pay for. A good auto insurance company, for instance, will offer various deductibles, competitive auto insurance rates and some type of coverage that allows for the temporary payment of medical bills in the event that you ever become involved in an auto accident. If you are injured as a result of another motorist’s negligence, many auto insurance companies will pay for your medical bills and later seek reimbursement from the faulty individual(s). This is a great relief to many, especially those who may not otherwise have health insurance.

As a final thought to choosing an auto insurance company that offers the best auto insurance rate, free auto insurance quotes and/or a flexible program that can be customized to fit your individual needs, simply take the time to shop around and compare auto insurance from more than one company prior to making a final decision.

There are certain things to look for when deciding on a car repair shop. You can choose a car repair expert with the knowledge to fix your car with as little cost to you with the right information.

Car repair shops will first want to analyze your car to see what the problem is. The is true of both traditional car repair and collision repair. The first step in the process of getting you car back on the road is finding out the cause for the break down. Some shops will charge for the diagnostic process and others will not. Choosing a car repair shop that does not charge for this step of the process does not mean they are the ones that have to fix your car. So save some money and have your car diagnosed for free rather than for pay.

The second most important tip is finding a car repair shop that specializes in the type of repair you need. If the diagnostic shows a computer error, seek out a car computer expert to take care of the problem. The trouble with conventional mechanics is that they may not understand every aspect of car repair and thus it may cost more in the long run as they run through different parts trying to get your car back up to speed.

In collision repair, if the body is all that is harmed, make sure to go to a company that offers a guarantee on service and the paint job and body work. References are always a great place to start when choosing a collision car repair shop. While body work may seem all cosmetic, not every repair will leave the car safe to drive. Some damages, especially those on the frame of the car, may render the frame unfit for driving. This needs to be taken into consideration when fixing the car. Other areas of collision repair to consider are the type of paint job the repair shop offers. A base coat, clear coat paint job with complete stripping will return the car to factory condition. Just a top coat of paint will last a year or two but will eventually peel off the undercoat of paint.

Before choosing any car repair shop, make sure to check with the Better Business Bureau both online and offline. These entities collect complaints on businesses and are a great source of information regarding the previous work done in a shop. Searching the Internet for reviews of the car repair shop will also lead you to real life people who either love the work they received or hate it. Both of which are important to you and your car.

Auctions are a great place to find cheap motorcycles. Armed with the right knowledge about motorcycles and the bidding process, dreaming of cruising the highway on your very own bike will not be that far off.

Now, let’s begin with the reasons why motorcycles in a seized motorcycle auction are offered so cheap. Most of the units sold in these kinds of auctions were repossessed or seized by the government from owners that were involved in illegal activities. Some of the units came from old stocks of the government agencies. Old police motorcycles and such are sometimes put up for bid especially if particular law agencies have decided to upgrade their motorcycle patrols.

Another reason is that, since the government was able to get the motorcycles for free so they can actually sell them at really cheap prices. The government is also keen on cashing out on these motorcycles since storing them is much more expensive in the long run plus as the years go by the value of the bike will depreciate more and more. That’s why the government often times hold seized motorcycle auction events and tries to get as much money as they could from the sale.

However, precisely because a seized motorcycle auction offers cheap units, you really need to be careful in joining any kinds of bids. You need to inspect the merchandise thoroughly first. Here your knowledge or expertise will help you determine if the motorcycle is worth the advertised value and how much the maximum bid for it should be. It is common in a seized motorcycle auction that bidding wars ensue because of emotions getting in the way.

Never ever join in a bidding war even if you like the bike so much. You don’t want to end up paying more for a motorcycle than what its worth. When you go to a seized motorcycle auction you need to set a ceiling or a maximum bid for yourself and learn to stick with it. You’re goal is to find a perfect motorcycle at the lowest price possible and not the opposite.

There are also some things that you need to watch out in a seized motorcycle auction. One of which are phrases that at first glance are not that important but later on proves to be crucial especially when filing claims of refund, warranty and misrepresentation of the merchandise. So in a seized motorcycle auction your instincts play a little bit when bidding on a product. If you feel that there’s something wrong with the motorcycle or with what the seller is saying, it is best to avoid it and move on with the other bikes for sale. Be wise with your purchase.

Car loan refinance is good for you since refinancing auto loans can lessen your monthly car loan payments. Also, your interest rate drops, allowing you to pay off the balance of your car loan much faster. The benefits of refinancing are proven when a record number of homeowners refinanced in 2001 and 2002. Today, many car owners are beginning to realize how you can save thousands through car loan refinance, too.

Car loan refinance has become a popular trend especially with today’s dropping interest rates. It’s like stumbling upon a bankroll you didn’t know you had or finding cash in your clothes while doing laundry. With car loan refinance, you pay lesser monthly payments, allowing you to pay off your loan balance faster. Imagine how much you can save on interest alone if you could pay off your loan in say 12 years instead of 15. You can use the extra money you save to pay off credit card debt, or accelerate your car loan payoff.

Car Loan Refinance can benefit even those with bad credit. It’s true that car buyers with bad credit can obtain car loan refinance as a way for them to lower their APRs. But because some dealers dupe them into thinking that they have no choice but to stick with 21-25% APR, they don’t even think of trying. Let’s say for instance that you borrowed $16,500 for 60 months on your new Honda Accord and let’s assume that you have a less than perfect credit rating or have had no previous credit. Your dealer got you approved at 21% APR for a 60 month car loan. So you start paying off your car loan for a few months but then you decide to get a car loan refinance with another lender at 6% APR.

Your current monthly payment at 21% APR would be around $446 while your payment for the new car loan refinance at 6% APR would be about $319. The total interest on your current car loan would be around $10, 283 at 21% APR but you can save about $7,643 of that if you get a car loan refinance with a total interest charge of only $2,639.
